The agile transformation journey at Barclays

The story of Barclays’ agile enterprise transformation involving 130,000 people is not only breathtaking and inspiring; it is famous too. Jonathan Smart, who led the agile transformation at Barclays, is now Deloitte’s agile leader, and he will talk about his experience with agile transformation at Barclays.

Within the first year of transformation, Barclays transitioned more than 800 teams into agile ways of working; generating a throughput increase of 300 per cent and making it possible to release new software every 0-4 weeks with 23 times fewer incidents. Best of all, they managed to increase employee satisfaction while transforming the business.
